This interview of Fred Ohr was conducted by Harlem High School. Mr. Ohr was a Major with the 2nd Fighter Squadron, 52nd Fighter Group; 116th Cavalry Regiment, Idaho National Guard; 183rd Field Artillery; 115th Cavalry; 12th Air Force, 15th Air Force; 68th Material Service Squadron. He received (2) Silver Stars, (2) Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Air Medal with 18 Clusters, (2) Unit Citations, American Service Medal and a WWII Victory Medal. This veteran is a WWII Flying Ace, flying Spitfires and P-51s. Mr. Ohr recounts his experiences during the war while at the same time inspiring those who watch his interview to be inspired to fix the world. His message after being in the was is that a good education is a powerful thing and an educated person can change the world.
