Denver Kunz was a Squadron Commander. He tells the story of how he learned how to fly a C47 by flying the C47. He was involved in the Battle of Leyte and was at the signing of the Armistice Agreement. He describes what Japan was like after the dropping of the bombs. Denver was very instrumental in the building of the Illinois WWII Memorial in Springfield. From those efforts this project was created.
