Butch Perry West, a Vietnam veteran. Drafted as a mechanic at the age of 19 from Fair-field Illinois. He served in the army for 22 months. In Vietnam, Butch was exposed to Agent Orange, a herbicide they used. Later when he returned back home, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. For his service in Vietnam, he was awarded with the Bronze Star, and the Army Commendation Medal. A year ago Butch Perry West had a heart transplant. It went perfect and he is living happily and healthy, with his family in Champaign Illinois.
