James M. Croxen served in the Army, as a part of the Military Police in the Persian Gulf during WWII from 1943-1945. He was a part of the 788th Battalion. The Persian Command was stationed in to watch over the resources within the region and to transport supplies to Russian Allies. Prior to the arrival of US troops, there were already British and Russian troops stationed in the region. After the war, he returned to Illinois and has resided there since.
