Andrew Metzka was stationed at Headquarter Company Camp, Camp Carrel Depot in Waegwon, Korea from 1971 - 1972. He was in the 512th Heavy Equipment Company. He was drafted, and activated three weeks after the Kent State shootings. His duties included heavy equipment maintenance operator, standby riot control, vehicle repair, orderly room clerk, payroll clerk, security, mail clerk, and prisoner escort.
