Vernon Tock was stationed on the USS Northampton and the USS Oakland. Although he no longer has many of his materials from his time in WWII, his stories are amazing. His experiences spanned the war in the Pacific, and included the signing of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay. This interview and final project are possible because of the work of students and staff of Champaign Franklin Middle School.
