Born in Loves Park, IL, on Feb. 22 1925 Dale Jones was drafted into the Army in 1944. He achieved a rank of Private 1st Class as a member of the K Company, 42nd Infantry Division, 7th Army. During his military service he was stationed in France. He encountered combat throughout his service including participating in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Jones received the Purple Heart Medal.
